CDT WOULD LIKE TO EMPHASIZE THE IMPORTANCE OF CLASSICAL BALLET TRAINING AS THE FOUNDATION TO ALL OTHER FORMS OF DANCE.

CCI03132011_00005 (1).jpg (44106 bytes) PRE-BALLET CLASSES- for children 3-4 years old.  Pre-ballet is a free-style dance movement and serves as preparation for a further study of ballet.  Students are introduced to develop a natural graceful movement, sense of rhythm, self-expression and physical as well as mental co-ordination.
CCI03132011_00018 (1).jpg (29312 bytes)ScannedImage-8.jpg (18660 bytes) BALLET CLASSES- includes students 5 years and over.  The elementary level include study of basic feet, arm and body positions.  Students are introduced to the “barre” for fundamental ballet exercises, followed by center practice and simple combinations of dance steps.  During this period each student is individually observed.  In the intermediate ballet class students are introduced to adagio, allegro, character ballet and are considered for pointe work.  The advanced ballet includes emphasis on improvement of technique, style and performance.  
ScannedImage-4.jpg (28639 bytes)Bidez0923.jpg (19166 bytes) DANCE ON POINTE- introduction to pointe work is undertaken after the student has learned to perform all the basic steps and exercises.  As she gains in strength and technique, the student learns to execute classical movements on pointe.

VARIATION CLASS- advance level students are given opportunities to learn solo variations from original classical ballet repertoire.  This will help them develop memory and stage presence plus it’s an excellent preparation for a professional career.
adv modern.jpg (48894 bytes) MODERN CLASS- Today, all ballet companies are incorporating modern dance in their repertoire.  Therefore, it is important that all students are exposed and trained in modern dance.  
ScannedImage-20.jpg (30834 bytes)ScannedImage-22.jpg (35084 bytes) JAZZ CLASS- Basic body warm-ups focusing on strengthening arms, stomach muscles, and legs.  Across the floor isolations, rhythm exercises, and basic floor combination, walks, runs, leaps and falls.  A balanced program emphasizing the importance of ballet training.

011.jpg (27991 bytes) GYROKINESIS - Is a yoga-based movement technique developed by Mr. Juliu Horvath.  It blends elements of yoga, tai chi, gymnastics & dance.  Incredibly beneficial for dancers and non-dancers alike, this dynamic class works the body in gentle circular movements, building your stamina and dramatically increasing your flexibility.  This class is suitable for all ages and levels.
